The VTM is the new engine – CIK-FIA homologated – of the Vortex range made for the MINI class, followed by one only international regulation by FIA Karting. Vortex R&D staff focused on the creation of a fully new engine compared to the past. Among the innovations introduced, it features a newly designed head, cylinder and crankcase, all featured by an increase in their radiating surfaces better allowing the cooling of the engine itself. Furthermore, as far as the cylinder is concerned, the geometry of the ports and transfers have been renewed. Further developments were also made regarding the crankshaft and exhaust, both of which are newly designed.
